Good morning, friends! Today is Wednesday. I’m starting this post after a rough night of sleep (nothing dramatic, I’ve just always had trouble sleeping). Fortunately, I have my oat milk and coffee combination awaiting me. Blue Bottle Coffee, which serves the tastiest coffee on the planet, taught me that oat milk and coffee are meant to be together forever.
To be honest, today was one of the LEAST productive days I’ve had in, well, ever. I had a headache about half the day due to lack of sleep and ended up drinking two cups of coffee. I also just found out that my duvet cover was stained because of the black ink pen that I write with while I’m in bed. Accordingly, I had to spend around 20 minutes washing it out, and about 10 minutes after that finding a new duvet cover once it became clear that I did not succeed. My mom just offered for me to come with her to Costco, but I decided to forgo the grocery trip in favor of trying to get something done. Here are my 3 goals for the evening: I want to finish 4 reports. I want to write and deliver my friend’s birthday card. I also want to tidy a little.
A victorious update: I ended up doing 4 reports. It is now 9:30 pm. I am proud of myself because there were times while I was working that I could feel myself being tired and sluggish, the way I was the rest of the day, and I pushed through it anyway.
Also, I found a shadowing position for a child with special needs at a Jewish elementary school near me. Normally, I’d be happy to do this, because I love kids and because it would prepare me well for my career as a neuropsychologist. In fact, I would’ve been so happy to do it during my gap year! Words can’t convey how bummed I am that because of Covid, it isn’t the smartest thing for me to be helping in a school setting.
After that, I ended up working on my boyfriend’s birthday card and my close friend’s birthday card. They both have birthdays a day apart. I also made Zoom plans with my close friend, and am so excited to catch up with her. I am going to call it a night at literally 10:30 pm (am I okay) as a part of my mission to catch up on sleep. Goodnight, everyone 🙂
great job Vera!
