Business Casual Outfits of the Week: Gen Z/Thrifted

Hello and welcome to pictures of me trying on different clothes. Have you, like me, tripped and fallen into a routine of wearing business casual clothes 5 days a week? Then look no further for your fashion inspiration.

Outfit 1 details: turtleneck is cashmere from my mom’s closet, no brand. Skirt is from Express.

A salmon colored skirt that matches the turtleneck perfectly (ew, I’m a grown up who wears turtlenecks)

Outfit #2 details: shirt is from Bebe. Skirt is by the brand “Mystic”. Belt is from Santa Monica belt store.

This outfit says “I’m put together” but the pile of clothes behind me says otherwise.

Outfit #3 details: housewife top is from BCBG Maxazria, thrifted for 50 cents. Skirt is from BCBG Maxazria, also thrifted.

50s housewife, but make it fashion

Outfit #4: popsicle top is from Forever 21 Contemporary. Skirt is thrifted, brand unknown.

Local popsicle coming to do therapy near you

Outfit #5: Skirt is Zara. Boots are from Target. Long sleeve top is from Free People, and turtleneck on top is from mom’s closet.

I’m cold, but make it chic

Outfit #6: blazer is from Windsor. Dress is vintage Express.

I wear this outfit on the metro because I am not a fan of this dress, but at least I won’t mind it getting stained.
Bonus “outfit”: me in my element, not business casual, wearing a very comfy sweater and eating a post-dinner chocolate strawberry.

let me know if you guys want more outfits!

Hi everyone! I started my doctorate in clinical psychology in fall 2020. A google search revealed that there are no current grad school blogs for psychology students. Anyway, I happen to know a girl who wants to document her journey to getting a doctorate (spoiler: it's me). Welcome. Hope you stay awhile!
